Celebrate the beginning of married life amid emerald water, limestone islands and quiet sandy coves on our Halong Honeymoon Beach Camping Tour: 3 Days. It is designed especially for couples, this romantic journey combines a scenic bay cruise, private kayaking, swimming. As well as sustainable seafood dining and an intimate night in a comfortable beachfront tent.
Unlike conventional Halong Tours, this experience takes you beyond busy sightseeing routes and into the quieter waters of Halong Bay and Lan Ha Bay. From here, you can paddle together through hidden lagoons, watch the sunset from an isolated beach. And enjoying a candlelit barbecue beneath the stars. One night is spent in a private cruise cabin, while the other offers a carefully managed eco-camping experience close to nature.
Note, the route may change according to tides, weather, marine regulations and the beach approved for overnight camping. This flexibility helps ensure a safe journey while protecting the fragile environment of the bay.
Day 1: Hanoi – Halong Bay – Romantic Cruise Experience
Your honeymoon escape begins with morning pickup from your hotel in Hanoi. Then, you will travel through the Red River Delta toward Halong, with a short refreshment stop along the way. Couples already staying in Halong can meet the local guide directly at the marina.
Next, you will arrive at the harbour around midday and board the cruise by tender. After a welcome drink, the crew provides a safety briefing while the boat begins sailing past Halong Bay’s dramatic limestone towers.
Afterwar, you will enjoy a Vietnamese lunch prepared with fresh regional ingredients. Note, seafood is a highlight of the area, but vegetarian, vegan and allergy-friendly meals can be arranged when requested in advance.
In the afternoon, you will explore a peaceful section of the bay by kayak. Paddling side by side beneath limestone cliffs and into a sheltered lagoon selected according to the tide. First-time kayakers need not worry: the local guide will explain basic paddling techniques, life-jacket use and how to enter the kayak safely.
After kayaking, you will return to the cruise for a shower and some private relaxation. As the sun begins to set, you will enjoy a honeymoon setup on the sundeck with fruit, sparkling wine and views over the karst landscape.
Especially, the dinner is served on board in an intimate setting. Spend the evening watching the stars, trying squid fishing or simply relaxing together in the calm surroundings of the bay.
Meals: Lunch and dinner
Overnight: Private honeymoon cabin on the cruise.
Local guide’s note: Mobile signals become less reliable in the deeper parts of the bay. Download any important information before departure and use the journey as an opportunity to disconnect.
Day 2: Cruise – Floating Community – Kayaking – Beach Camping
In the morning, you will wake up to the quiet beauty of the bay and join an optional sunrise stretching or Tai Chi session on deck.
Next, you will enjoy breakfast as the cruise continues toward the less-visited waters between Halong and Lan Ha bays. After enjoying breakfast, you will transfer to a smaller day boat that can navigate narrow channels and reach quieter locations.
Then, you will visit a floating fishing community to learn how local families have traditionally lived and worked on the water. Besides, our tour guide will introduce the area’s aquaculture practices and explain why responsible tourism is important to the future of the bay.
Afterward, you will continue traveling to a calm kayaking route surrounded by forested limestone islands. Depending on the tide and sea conditions, the route may include a hidden lagoon or a sheltered section near the Ba Trai Dao or Dau Be area. Moreover, kayaking locations are chosen on the day for safety rather than guaranteed in advance.
Later, you will return to the support boat for an eco-style lunch featuring seasonal vegetables, rice, fruit and locally sourced seafood. Single-use plastics are minimized, and guests are encouraged to refill their reusable water bottles.
In the afternoon, you will arrive at an authorized camping beach. The crew will set up a spacious weather-resistant tent for the couple, complete with:
- Sleeping mats and clean bedding
- Pillows and light blankets
- Battery-powered lanterns
- Decorative honeymoon lighting
- A private seating area facing the sea
Afterwar, you will spend the rest of the afternoon swimming, walking along the beach or simply relaxing together. Noted, the seabed can be rocky or contain shells, so water shoes are strongly recommended.
At sunset, you will enjoy a private drink and light snacks before joining a romantic beachfront barbecue. Dinner may include grilled seafood, vegetables, local specialties and tropical fruit. In addition, dietary alternatives can be prepared with advance notice.
As darkness falls, lanterns softly illuminate the campsite. From here, you can listen to the waves, watch the stars and enjoy an unhurried evening together away from city lights. A guide and support crew remain nearby throughout the night for safety.
Meals: Breakfast, lunch and barbecue dinner
Overnight: Private couple’s tent on an authorized beach.
Local guide’s note: Conditions by the sea can become cooler and more humid after sunset, even during warm months. Pack a light jacket, insect repellent and quick-drying clothes. Loud music and campfires directly on the sand may be restricted to protect wildlife and preserve the natural setting.
Day 3: Beach Sunrise – Scenic Cruise – Halong – Hanoi
You will wake up beside the sea and step outside your tent to watch the sunrise over the limestone islands. Especially, early morning is often the calmest time on the bay and offers beautiful light for honeymoon photographs.
Afterward, you will enjoy breakfast on the beach with bread, eggs, seasonal fruit, tea and Vietnamese coffee. After having breakfast, you will take a short swim or join your guide for a gentle paddle near the shore, subject to the tide and weather.
Before leaving, you will help complete a brief leave-no-trace check. The crew removes all camping equipment and waste, while guests may take part in a short voluntary beach clean-up.
Later, you will board the support boat and cruise back through the bay. Depending on navigation conditions and the operating route, you will stop at a limestone cave, a sheltered lagoon. Or another scenic viewpoint before returning to the main vessel.
In the noon, you will enjoy a farewell lunch while cruising toward the harbour. Disembark around midday or early afternoon and meet your return vehicle.
Finish the day, you will travel back to Hanoi and arrive at your hotel in the late afternoon, concluding your romantic three-day Halong adventure.
