Leave Hanoi early in the morning and travel toward the spectacular mountains of Northwest Vietnam.
Along the way, admire the endless rice fields of Muong Lo before arriving in Nghia Lo for lunch.
Continue to Tu Le Valley, a peaceful region famous for fragrant sticky rice, traditional Thai villages, and beautiful mountain scenery.
In the afternoon, conquer the magnificent Khau Pha Pass, one of the “Four Great Mountain Passes" of Northern Vietnam. Rising more than 2,000 metres above sea level, the pass offers breathtaking panoramic views across valleys, rice terraces, and surrounding mountains.
Stop at scenic viewpoints overlooking Lim Mong and Lim Thai villages. During the golden rice season in September, visitors may also witness the annual “Flying Over the Golden Season" paragliding festival.
Continue to La Pan Tan, home to the famous Mam Xoi (Raspberry Hill) Rice Terrace, one of the most photographed landscapes in Vietnam.
Arrive in Mu Cang Chai in the late afternoon.
Enjoy dinner featuring local specialties before spending the night in a community homestay or local hotel.
